Tuesday: Use handouts given (also on weebly in Unit 1 section)
Annotated Federalist 10 – James Madison Documents of Freedom – Handout H Excerpts from Federalist 51 Half of the class will read and answer questions about Federalist #10; translate the document into a tweet, hashtag, or emoji; and make 1 claim supporting the author and make 1 claim opposing the author. Create a small poster (as a pair) showing your posts/claims and submit when finished Jordan S. Angelina K. Frank S. Karam S. Mohammad R. Hazael M. Michael N. Documents of Freedom: Excerpts from Brutus I (also complete the Brutus I Question sheet from the Bill of Rights Institute) The other half of the class will read and answer questions about Brutus No. 1; translate the document into a tweet, hashtag, or emoji; and make 1 claim supporting the author and make 1 claim opposing the author. Wednesday: Document Analysis of Federalist and Anti-Federalist Papers Based on your work on Tuesday, look over the handouts and complete each using the attached excerpts from the Federalist and Anti-Federalist papers. You may work with the student listed below in your assigned pairing, but it will be important that each student completes the analysis chart for both viewpoints on the Constitution. Jordan S. Students will create discussion questions based upon the reading they completed (handouts for chapters 11 and 12) over Fall Break. Extra handouts are available on the teacher desk.
Students should create one question for EACH section of the reading. |

Students should take notes using the powerpoint shown on the Unit 3 tab for this website...take notes, look carefully at the graphs & charts... do as much as you can in class...there are more slides than you have time to complete in class.

Students should be in the computer lab in Room 201 -- on Tuesday students should be working on their History Day projects... please have students turn in their completed work from class yesterday and leave them on my desk.
